CIF Outcome 2025/26
After the long-awaited announcement, the Department for Education (DfE) has revealed the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) 2025/26 allocation. This year, the DfE has allocated has provided almost £470 million to 789 projects to 656 schools, academies, and voluntary-aided schools across the country.
The 2025/26 round brought several changes to the application process. Schools needed to demonstrate not only the urgent need for their proposed projects but also provide evidence of their building condition assessments, financial planning, and project management capabilities.
Making an Appeal for CIF 2025/26
If your CIF bid was unsuccessful there is a chance to submit an appeal. We’ve got plenty of experience in the CIF appeals process and taking failed applications, adjusting them and re-submitting them in the next round. Often, the content of a rejected application is actually quite good, it’s just that it lacks the technical heft, know-how and expertise in order to elevate it to the status of being a genuine contender.
