M+C Attends Career Fair at Moulsham High School

For a number of years now, we have been attending careers fairs at local secondary schools to engage with young individuals, to give them an insight to what a career in the built environment industry looks like.

Last week, we visited Moulsham High School and engaged with students from years 7 to 10 and the 6th Form about the opportunities and the pathway to achieve professional qualifications within surveying and architecture.

A number of lucky students will be invited to join us for a period of work experience – providing a great way to appreciate fully the opportunities presented by a career within  the built environment.

One of the key focuses was helping students understand which subjects could be most beneficial for a career in the industry. We emphasised the importance of STEM subjects (Science, Design & Technology, Geography and Mathematics). It is important to educate the students so that they are aware of the opportunities and how they can best prepare to increase their chances of making an informed decision about the path they would like to go down.
