Half a century ago, securing a degree from even a semi-prestigious university provided a surety of job prospects and a vocational pathway. These days, thanks to the glut of university courses now out there, degrees don’t hold the same sort of weight they once did. Munday + Cramer have taken a bold step in their recruitment and development; offering the company’s first Degree Apprenticeship to a local Sixth Form student. Michael Smith; who studied at the William de Ferrers School, just a few hundred metres from M+C’s offices in South Woodham Ferrers has already joined the company. Joining the busy multi-disciplinary Building Surveying and Architectural Practice; Michael has already dived in at the deep end, supporting the building surveying team to deliver the busy summer workload.
