Bungalow Extension and Internal Alterations

Our client approached us with a clear goal: to create a more spacious, light-filled home that perfectly balanced functionality with aesthetic appeal. The solution? A carefully planned 4-metre rear extension that would transform their living environment.

The project encompassed several improvements:

  • A pitched roof featuring a gable-style glass window that floods the space with natural light
  • An orangery-style flat roof section adding architectural interest
  • Extending the existing kitchen
  • Converting the current kitchen into a utility room
  • Enlarging the master bedroom’s en-suite
  • Relocating the main bathroom

Two standout elements truly elevate this renovation:

  1. Installation of two bi-folding door systems, each comprising 4 door leaves, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor transition
  2.  A double-glazed roof lantern that brings the sky indoors, maximising natural light and creating an uplifting atmosphere

The Result

What began as a traditional bungalow has been meticulously transformed into a contemporary, light-filled sanctuary. The open-plan kitchen and dining area now serve as the heart of the home—a space that not only looks stunning but works beautifully for the family’s lifestyle.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful design and strategic renovations can completely reinvent a living space, turning everyday functionality into something truly extraordinary.
