Munday + Cramer are pleased to again support this year’s Orsett Show as a Gold Sponsor. The Orsett Show is one of the UK’s oldest one-day agricultural shows. 2017 sees the 111th edition take place on Saturday 2nd September. Last year, over 11,000 visitors attended the show. A pleasant weather forecast, and a packed schedule suggest attendance will be equally high this year.

The show dates back to 1841 initially. Following a break of a number of years, the ‘modern’ show has run successively from 1895 with the exception of breaks during the two world wars. At 110 years, it is now one of the UK’s longest-running one-day country shows.

Organised each year by the Orsett Horticultural and Agricultural Society; the show aims to promote countryside matters, the borough of Thurrock and local businesses. A range of agricultural, livestock, horticultural, equine and handicraft sections are highlighted by numerous competitions and exhibitions throughout the day. The Grand Display Ring and Horse rings offer exciting displays and competitions. In addition, 300 companies, organisations and charities come together to promote their businesses. The Orsett Show promotes school activities from across Thurrock through their school’s marquee. Many of Munday + Cramer’s clients take the opportunity to showcase work by their pupils.

The Orsett Showground is set in 30-acres of beautiful countryside  is situated just outside Orsett, near Grays, in Thurrock, Essex. It’s just off the A13, five miles east of the M25 junction 30.
