What is Structural Engineering?

Structural Engineering is an important discipline of civil engineering. These engineers are in charge of validating the strength and rigidity of buildings.

When beginning a renovation project, assessing the structural properties of the project is one of the first and most important steps. In the case of assessing architectural designs; it is a structural engineer’s job to make sure that the plans are structurally sound. In the event that this is not considered, it could lead to catastrophic failure of the structure. These engineers can spend years training in qualifications at university, or gaining relevant work experience; so they can become certified structural engineers. When we undertake projects at Munday + Cramer, our fully certified structural engineers provide advice and insight into each project. This is to ensure the quality, longevity and strength of each project can last for generations to come.
